Materials That Perform in Manitoba

We are particular about materials because Manitoba is particular about punishing them. Rapid temperature swings between heated interiors and frozen exteriors create expansion and contraction cycles that cheap materials cannot handle. For countertops, we primarily install quartz and granite. Both offer excellent heat resistance, scratch resistance and longevity. Quartz gives you a wider range of consistent colours with virtually zero maintenance. Granite offers natural stone character and has been a proven performer in Manitoba homes for decades.

Open Concept Conversions

One of the most requested kitchen renovations in Winnipeg and Brandon is opening up a closed-off kitchen to the dining and living areas. Many Manitoba homes built before 2000 have walls separating the kitchen from adjacent rooms. Not every wall can simply be removed — load-bearing walls require structural engineering, proper headers, and sometimes foundation reinforcement. We work with licensed structural engineers to ensure every open concept conversion is done safely and to code.
